Alright so this is the end of week 2 of doing the clothes drive. I have already made a facebook post to get my clothes dirve mroe advertised and I've included some local buisnesses to help. Like for example my stepmom owns a shop where shoes does lashes, waxing, and eyelash extentions, and I advertised that if 3 people donate a good amount of clothes they would get a 50% discount on getting their lashes done. On top of that, I have had family memebrs donate a huge amount of clothes too. So this second week has been sucessful again outside of school. Inside of school has been a struggle I just think I need to advertise inside school a bit more. But at least I got a win somewhere.

We have created our flyers and have to fix them because we didn't add what specific type of size the clothes are for the foster care. Then we are going to call the foster care back up to see what size clothes they need for the clothes drive and where still looking at other ways to advertise the clothes drive too.

This week we went and met the lady at the human society. We went over our proposal with her and they accepted it. We told her how we wanted to get the word out for the place and help get donations and help with their social media so the word gets out better. Today I sent a text and asked her as well if they needed any help on the days we are in class to clean dog kennels and cats box just help them with what they do there as well.

So this week we went and were actually able to meet up with the lady who is running the humane society! She really liked our ideas and is allowing us to help out. I am also going to start making our posters and hanging them up. Hopefully they will all be up by Monday or Tuesday.

This week Bridges To Health a health organization in Marion reached back to me and would be interested in me writing a grant for their organization.I've called many banks to see if I could get the funding for the grant through them. With all the messages I have left only one bank has gotten back with me and that is Horizon bank in Marion.Jody Palmer who is the person I spole to said she needed a little more information on what i was doing so she can direct me to the right person so that she doesn't tell me the wrong information.Jody Palmer is the branch manager of Horizon Bank in Marion and i should hear back from her sometime today.

Thus far we have contacted all English teachers about persuading their students to write letters to the veterans. We have all of the boxes up and are slowly getting more donations. We plan to advertise our project more within the next few days, and plan to bring a box here in the high school in case there are students who would like to donate but cannot drive to the drop off spots. We are meeting with someone next week who is donating a large amount of things. Our project is going slow, but is surely growing a little more each day. We hope to start having full boxes each week!

So, this week we contacted all the English teacher in the high school and junior high to spread the information about writing letters. I put out a Facebook post, and asked others to share our flyers, which some have done. We got a few donations from family, and called someone who would like to donate a large amount. I would like to physically advertise more and re-share on social media (and add onto the paper the lenders who have donated to the VA) later. I would also like to have a box set up at the high school for the students here.

Friday I left to meet up with Natasha but she was in court so I went to the department and helped the ladies in the office. I will go there if Natasha has court or if she's busy. But I am working on finding a new project because the Hope House hasn't really gotten ahold of me and I can't sit around and wait so I'm struggling to find a new project for that.

I am now volunteering in the special needs room with whatever they need help with. I have covered my collection cans in paper to make them look nicer. I need a few more cans and then I can put them in the classrooms. I still need to figure out a prize because I haven't gotten a hold the big dipper I'll figure something out. Working in Mrs. Garverick's room has been fun doing project and helping the kids.

This week, I was out due to getting my wisdom teeth taken out. I know that my group was able to go meet with the Humane Society and spoke with them about our proposal, which they liked. We will begin to donate money for their vet fees and needs.
